Pocket Scaper Phone App for Planted Tanks

The Pocket Scaper phone App has a host of aquarium information on your smartphone.  The android app has a calculator for making concentrations of liquid fertilizers for your tank and tells you how much to use to make solutions.  There is a calculator for dry dosing for those that prefer to use dry ingredients instead of making a solution.

Along with the planted tank calculators for dosing fertilizers there’s also a lot of information at hand for topics like root tabs and acclimating new fish to your tank.  There’s a lengthy database guide to plants and invertebrates as well.  And for inspiration and ideas a gallery of planted tanks to pull from.

One of the hardest parts of the planted tanks is calculating your fertilizers and dealing with dosing.  The Pocket Scaper App helps tremendously with figuring these things.  It’s a handy hand held phone app which makes it really convenient.  It has pretty much everything you need for measurements in the planted tank.

The app has two versions, a free version and a paid version.  The two versions are the same aside from advertising.  The free version will include advertising and the paid version will be ad free.  The Free Version is being released April 15th and both versions are available from Google Play and Amazon Apps.  It is a great resource for the planted aquarist especially but non planted hobbyists will also find it useful.
