Many plants that were found in this expedition are new and undescribed species, even possibly a new genus. These endemic plants are being lost to palm oil plantations, logging, and development at an alarming rate. This isn’t a “my grandkids will never see…” this is an “I will never see” situation. Many places are being lost as we speak, with undescribed plants, and even animal species.

A wild Betta sp? Possibly Betta unimaculata. Not yet properly identified (will be updated). Similar to lehi but B lehi is from Serawak and Kalbar.
Possibly a new genus aroid.
